Boston’s Seaport District is actually located in South Boston. However, since it has historically not been heavily populated with residential buildings, it has always been considered independent when it comes to evaluating real estate. In years past the Seaport District has been home to Boston’s best seafood restaurants, Jimmy’s Harborside and Anthony’s Pier 4. After a small period of time when not much happened, the Seaport area has come alive with an explosion of business moving in, new restaurants, the Boston Pavilion putting on outdoor summer concerts, the new Boston Museum of Contemporary Art, and new residential condo buildings. It all seems like it was just a matter of time since the only thing separating the Seaport District from downtown Boston is the Fort Point Channel.

The Seaport District condos are located in newly converted or newly constructed buildings, besides a few loft style condos. Some of the buildings include the Channel Center and Park Lane. Over 1500 more condo units are exported in the Seaport District when Pier 4, Waterside Place and Fan Pier are completed. All of these buildings stare across the channel into the heart of Boston.
