Avenir Condos
A new wave of residential luxury developments hitting downtown Boston, and one of the newest and most exciting buildings will be located directly across from the T.D. Banknorth Garden (formerly the Fleetcenter) know as Avenir. The French translation for “future”, Avenir will be constructed over the MBTA’s orange and green lines, and stand where the central artery once stood prior to the Big Dig. Avenir is one of the first buildings to be built for a project that aims to rejuvenate the once bustling Bulfinch Triangle, located at the intersections of the North End, West End, Financial District and Boston Harbor.
Originally slated for residential condominiums, this project has recently been approved for luxurious rental apartments. When completed, the developers plan to turn the project over to Archstone for management of the building.
