Leather District

Leather District condos come in all shapes and sizes, but, along with the neighboring South End, the area contains one of the city’s highest concentrations of loft condo buildings. With the development of the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the Fort Point Channel, the Leather District is soon to become a blossoming residential area. Right now, condo buildings are being erected, restaurants are moving in, and real estate enthusiasts are making references to what Greenwich Village and SoHo were twenty years ago. The Leather District, which was once a mercantile district home to the Country’s leading shoe and boot industry, appears to be making a move to become one of Boston’s most desired places to live.
