South Boston

The South Boston condo market has exploded over the last few years. As the area has been put through a continuous state of gentrification, many buildings have been gutted and converted into luxury condos. In addition, large condominium buildings with luxurious amenities now tower near the Fort Pointe Channel, such as Court Square Press, Macallen Building, and Lofts at 36A. “Southie”, as its commonly called, will never be the same.

South Boston real estate holds some of Boston’s best waterfront. In addition to containing the redeveloping Seaport District, South Boston is lined by boardwalks and beaches, which they consider there own hidden gems. For many months of the year these boardwalks are littered with residents jogging, roller lading, or sitting on the park benches. On South Boston’s east side there is the “fish bowl”, which is always buzzing with windsurfers and kite surfers. And, of course, Sullivan’s, which has arguably the best hot dog’s in the city. Buying a condo in South Boston offers the closeness of the city, a quick escape to the South Shore, and the perfect blend of old Southie and new Southie.
